The founder of a healthcare service business in Leicester has been named as one of the UK’s most ambitious medium-sized business leaders.
Chris Barker, the CEO of Spirit Health, was listed as one of LDC’s top 50 business leaders for 2020.
There were more than 350 nominations and those profiled hail from every corner of the country, operate across a multitude of industries, employ more than 5,250 people and collectively contribute more than £1bn to the UK economy.
Chris said:
“Never before has the nation’s health been so much in the spotlight. I am hugely proud of the work that we have accomplished over recent years – and particularly in the last months – which has helped us make great inroads to achieving our aim. Working collaboratively with a number of NHS stakeholders, including commissioners, GPs, carers and patients, we are now saving the NHS millions of pounds on prescriptions, improving access to education and reducing unplanned hospital admissions.”
