A Leicester based solicitor reviews website has signed up to a pilot run by the national regulatory body for solicitors to test how they can improve the information available to customers.
ReviewSolicitors.co.uk in Leicester will participate in the study by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) , which is part of a push to make it easier for consumers to shop around.
Research published by the SRA last year found that 42% of consumers who had used a legal service said they would consider posting a review on a comparison website.
Along with the other participating review sites, ReviewSolictors.co.uk has signed up to a voluntary code of conduct, which includes providing clear information about any commercial relationships with legal services providers, ensuring consumers can compare providers on information other than price, a “straightforward process” for consumers to amend or remove a review they have posted, and the sites should have a clear complaints policy for both consumers and providers.
