Leicestershire startup founder Divyesh Chudasama has been reflecting on his time taking part in a Young Enterprise business programme whilst at college, as the charity celebrates a milestone anniversary.
2023 marks 60-years of Young Enterprise, which works in partnership with educators, volunteers, and supporters to provide opportunities for young people to develop an Enterprising Mindset.
Divyesh, the founder of Tattel, was on the ‘Company Programme’ at 17/18 years of age and credits the experience for his success today.
Whilst on the programme he, along with other students, developed a business repurposing recyclable material into items for sale. It enabled him to improve his public speaking and learn from failures – skills which he’d take on into his startup life.
Divyesh said:
“If I didn’t do Company Programme at college, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
“If you want a growth mindset, if you want to learn resilience and the key skills that make you into a strong human being in general then a Young Enterprise Programme is something that I would highly recommend you do.”
Meanwhile the founder has been busy developing the web platform version of Tattel – a student/professional networking startup in Leicester.
The site currently in pilot will be a career development digital platform connecting students and early career professionals with experts in their fields for informal chat, advice, guidance and ultimately bespoke mentoring.
He says the aim aim is to build an online community via web and then eventually a second version of a phone app.
