An app designed by a Loughborough graduate to help people with food allergies, intolerances and dietary needs has been featured by BBC News.
Kate Alderson’s Freeater launched earlier this month and was spotlighted on BBC East Midlands Today.
The entrepreneur said the recent media attention felt like a “pinch me moment,” describing how meaningful it was to see BBC East Midlands Today tell the story behind the app and the reason it exists.
“Seeing BBC News, East Midlands Today tell the story behind Freeater, the why behind it all, felt surreal.”
“What I do know is this: this is only the beginning. Freeater was built so no one has to feel unsure, left out, or anxious around food. Seeing that message reach people… already means everything.
