Loughborough founder Kate Alderson’s food allergy app Freeater has been selected to join The Foundry, a 12-week accelerator run by Foundervine in partnership with Molten Ventures and Esprit Foundation.
The Foundry is aimed at early-stage founders aged 18-30 who’ve already built an MVP, with the programme focused on refining products, gaining traction and becoming investment-ready through expert-led sessions, mentorship and direct access to operators and investors. F
oundervine has spent around five years supporting founders through start-up, scale-up and fundraising, and was named one of Europe’s most dynamic startup ecosystems by the Financial Times and Statista in both 2025 and 2026.
Freeater launched in May, went on to feature on BBC East Midlands Today, and was recently shortlisted for the Captivating Mission category at the SeedLegals Startup Awards 2026.
