The deadline to enter the Leicestershire Innovation Awards has been extended by more than a month.

It had been due to close on 7th January but it’s now set for Sunday 18th February.

The Awards celebrates the very best technology, services, digital advances and creative thinking in the region, and there are 12 categories including University Student Innovation, Innovation in Sustainability and Innovator of the Year.

The organisation running the Awards has also changed hands.

Previously it was ran by Reach PLC but at Christmas it was taken over by the LLEP Business Gateway Growth Hub.

Dr Nik Kotecha OBE DL, chair of the LLEP Innovation Board said:

“Reach helped to establish the awards as one of the most exciting and dynamic celebrations of local innovators in the Midlands.

We look forward to building on that for years to come – and using the Growth Hub network to recognise the impact of small business change-makers across our area.”
