In our new series where we spotlight a new member of the Leicester Startups community each month, please welcome Leya Luhar of OSCE Toolbox!

Welcome to the community Leya- can you tell us what OSCE Toolbox is? .

OSCE Toolbox is a digital revision platform helping UK pharmacy students master clinical exams (OSCEs) through realistic practice scenarios, expert-reviewed content, and learning theory-backed features. Our users are mostly undergrad pharmacy students preparing for high-stakes assessments. We help reduce anxiety and improve clinical confidence through structured, curriculum-aligned practice.

How did the idea come about?
As a medical student, I noticed pharmacy students lacked access to the kind of OSCE support medical students often get. Many felt unprepared for practical assessments, so I built a platform tailored to their specific exam structure and needs.
Where is your startup at today?
We launched in January 2024 and now have over 3,000 users. We’ve partnered with pharmacy societies, delivered mock OSCEs, and recently won Rising Star in Health Education Technology 2025.
How can the community help you right now?
We’re looking to connect with universities, pharmacy educators, and EdTech founders. If you’ve pitched B2B in education or have procurement insight, let’s talk!
What can you help other founders with?
Happy to support founders in health/education who are just starting out, especially with validation, content strategy, or research-led marketing.
What do you hope to get from being part of the Leicester Startups community?
Connection, collaboration, and real talk about growing an EdTech startup in the Midlands, especially with others balancing this alongside full-time studies or jobs.
