An award-winning Leicester founder is encouraging more fintech startups from the region to help grow the local eco system for fear of “being left behind”.
Rachel Curtis of Inicio AI said in a Linkedin post that she moved her startup away from the East Midlands “because there wasn’t enough support” locally.
It comes as a new initiative launches to kickstart the region’s fintech financial services scene with an event in February.
Organised by SuperTech WM, there is a callout for founders, financial services firms and stakeholders from the East and South Midlands to get involved.
