A Loughborough startup, which is developing hardware to help babies sleep, has been shortlisted for three national awards.

Mimic Motion aims to transform babies sleep with technology that mimics the same effect as riding in a car.

The startup has been shortlisted for Best New Innovation, Sleep & Comforting, and Technology awards by the Baby Products Industry Association (BPIA).

It’s founder Ryan White said:

“This recognition is a huge milestone for us. Mimic was built to solve a real, everyday challenge for parents helping babies fall asleep quickly and safely without the need for late-night car journeys.

“To now be acknowledged across innovation, impact, and technology is a testament to the progress we’ve made and the belief behind what we’re building.”

Earlier this month Ryan also shared results from trials of his device, which reported that it put a baby to sleep in 5 minutes and 20 seconds.
