Leicester founder joins Qatar unicorn as Senior Product Manager

Leicester entrepreneur Mukhtar Mohamoud has joined Qatar’s first SuperApp and unicorn as a Senior Product Manager.

The founder who sold his startup Retentional in 2025 joins Snoonu, which is one of the Gulf country’s biggest apps for fast food delivery, grocery shopping, laundry, car services, and tickets.

Mukhtar said the move was long overdue and that he’s excited to help expand Snoonu’s overall SuperApp adoption across the region.

“Qatar has the most exciting developing tech ecosystems in the MENA region and I couldn’t be more excited to join.”
