First orders of affordable camera kit for first-time space missions

Leicester-based space entrepreneur Sam Richards is celebrating the first orders his entry-level camera designed to make it cheaper and easier for teams launching their first satellite mission

Built around a Raspberry Pi platform with a 12MP sensor, FIRSTCAM is designed to be space-ready with the right modifications, software and know-how.

The orders come through Mission ShakthiSAT, due to launch in a few months.
