A number of startups were amongst the winners of the LeicestershireLive Innovation Awards.

The event held on Tuesday 14th September at the National Space Centre recognised the very best technology, digital advances and creative thinking that Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland have to offer.

Loughborough based insect-protein firm BeoBia won University Student Innovation. Meanwhile another Loughborough spinout, sports tech company Tzuka took away the Innovation in Technology award.

Commiserations to Leicester Startups Accelerator ‘graduate’ Tuck, which was nominated for Digital Innovation of  the Year, but which was won by BrainBerry – a medtech firm working developing dementia therapies.
