Q&A Session

Space sector business incubator launches at Dock, Leicester

My name is Luke Pulford and I run Dock (www.dockleicester.co.uk), Leicester’s innovation centre for high tech businesses.

In partnership with the University of Leicester we have just been awarded a grant from the UK Space Agency to launch Leicester’s first incubator for businesses in the Space sector or those who use space data (GPS, Sentinel data etc).

The incubator, named “Downstream @ Dock”, will be aimed at early stage, start up and pre-start businesses in these fields.

We are having a launch event on 19th May at 17:30 at Dock, the event will give us the chance to explain our offer to businesses as well as to hear from a couple of speakers. There will be food drink and even some space hardware on show.

Please can you save the date and also forward this onto anyone else who you think would be interested in joining the program or who would like to be kept up to date with its progress.

More details will follow on soon. However if I you have any questions or would like more info please contact me on 01162 257900.

Co-working Space Survey – Can You Help?

Do you work independently and find it hard to work from home? Do you sometimes wish you had someone to help with a business problem or talk through ideas? Would you like more opportunities for networking and collaboration?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, you are in luck!  Planning for the first independent, low cost, flexible coworking space in the heart of Leicester has begun. Nurtured by regular events, a host and good coffee, the new shared space will provide amazing opportunities for creativity, collaboration and innovation.

If you would like to be part of this exciting new community, please keep in touch and tell us what YOU would like to see in a coworking space by completing this short survey: http://goo.gl/forms/QfZsAQ2q2p
