Leicester entrepreneur Anuj Ashar has revealed that he’s building a new ecosystem to help support university spinouts, startups and innovation in the space-tech sector.

Asteria Space aims to empower PhD researchers, accelerate deep-tech startups and help innovative projects with grant funding, strategic partnerships, and deploying direct investments through a dedicated fund.

The Leicester founder says he has a team and advisory board consisting of veteran astronauts, entrepreneurs, private equity investors and academics.

Anuj said:

“If you’ve ever heard me speak, you’ll know how passionate I am about space technology and empowering the next generation of space innovators.

“I’m incredibly passionate about the companies I’m involved in, but this one feels different.”

Anuj is looking to speak with PhD researchers developing IP and for a founding team member to take on the role of Head of Space Project Development.
