Gone in 22 minutes: Leicestershire startup’s Kickstarter smashes funding goal

A Leicestershire startup’s ‘world first’ product on Kickstarter has smashed its funding goal within 22 minutes of going live.

Hinckley based Flowgreens launched ScentXpresso, an in-shower scent diffusing aromatherapy device, on Monday 3rd June with a target of $50k. 

A week later and the startup has raised just under £100k and received backing from almost 400 people.

Now the trio of friends behind the startup are aiming to keep the momentum by inviting more backers in the remaining few weeks of the Kickstarter campaign.

Co-founder Daniel Hartshorn said:

“We have been blown away by the support we have received so far.

“The only thing standing between us and 300% funded is £43.

“We need your support to climb the rankings and have greater visibility organically in kickstarter.”
