More details have been announced about the first ever East Mids Tech Week taking place next year.
From 15-19 June 2026 eight completely free events are planned, including in Leicestershire.
It starts in Derby with an investment show for businesses looking for product research and development, tech or innovation funding. Also on the opening day at Vaillant Live will be an AI Tech and Creative Tech event on the latest advancements for product, design and client service development.
This is followed by two events in Nottingham; one Energy Tech and the other on Defence and Security Tech.
Staying in Nottingham on the third day will be for a Women in Tech event.
Day four will see the festival come to Leicester. First Space Park Leicester will host Data and Space Tech, exploring global programmes, supply chain opportunities and pioneering developments. Then University of Leicester Freemans Common campus will host a Med Tech event focussing technology advancement and specialisms within the Med Tech Community and SME supply chain opportunities.
Finally the week comes to a close with the EMTW 26 Wrap Party at Leicester’s newest co-working space Canopy.
Organisers say East Mids Tech Week has been backed by “some of the region’s most high-profile organisations, to add to the networks, knowledge and opportunities which tech entrepreneurs and businesses need to drive their future and support the economic development of the East Midlands.”
All events will be free to attend for delegates with ticket bookings opening in January 2026.
