A DeMontfort University alum is set to launch the Leicester branch of her female entrepreneur network in 2026.

The 51% Club’s founder Tara Attfiel Tomes says she set up the enterprise “to help more women get rich”.

The free-to-join community already has 2,000 members nationally in Birmingham, Leamington, London and Worcester.

The Leicester branch will launch at the LCB Depot on Wednesday 28 January from 6pm-9pm.

Tara added:

“I want women in business to be ambitious, be confident in that ambition and in themselves, and have access to everything they need to scale; whether they’re trying to make £10 or £100million+. As DMU Leicester alumni, I am extremely proud and excited to be bringing what is already a formidable club, to the East Midlands.”

The 51% Club holds monthly events, offers tailored initiative to support women to scale and build, and aims to create a stronger ecosystem.
