After six years of developing “the world’s most durable sports earphones”, Loughborough startup Tzuka is now preparing to launch.
The startup incubated at Loughborough University’s Business Incubator LU Inc, is now taking pre-orders after teasing a release in a recent video.
Founder Tom Jelliffe said:
“So… it turns out 97% of hardware start-ups fail to launch their first product. We’re not in that rare 3% yet, but we’re getting very close.”
“To all hardware founders out there, it is possible (just about) with a bit of luck, a psychotic level of dedication and the support of fantastic communities like what Ben and Sam have built here (Leicester Startups).”
After being in “stealth mode” for years, the startup had patents granted for its “impact-resistant, ultra-durable technology” in 2025.
