In our new series where we spotlight a new member of the Leicester Startups community each month, we are delighted to introduce you to Milan Bilimoria, the founder of RoundRaise.

Read up about what RoundRaise is, how it originated, what Milan currently needs help with and what he might be able to help fellow founders with!

So Milan, tell us about RoundRaise…

RoundRaise is building infrastructure for startup funding. We’re developing a suite of tools to help founders raise more strategically, starting with fundability scoring (launching early June), investor matching, and several more features in the pipeline.

We’ve been operating for nearly a year. After running a successful pilot that helped startups have a 33% success rate with investors based on our recommendations, we now have 350+ startups on our waitlist. Our aim is to make fundraising less chaotic and more targeted – using actual data, not spray-and-pray tactics.

How did the idea come about?

It started while I was still at university, I saw founders around me spend months chasing investors without knowing where they stood or how to filter who was even worth approaching. The whole process felt broken. RoundRaise came from wanting to fix that with sharper tools and a more structured approach to early-stage fundraising.

Where is your startup at?

We’ve been building and testing for the past year. Fundability scoring goes public in early June, investor matching is already functional in beta, and we’re actively developing additional tools based on what founders need most, with everything being built and tested in real-world conditions.

How can the community help you right now?

-Founders: Use the tools and tell us what’s working (and what’s not)
-Investors: Help us understand your deal filters, so we can match better
-Operators: Share your perspective on scaling tools like this, we’re always listening!

What can you help other founders with?

– Designing and developing ML/AI architecture/infrastructure for products

– Cost-effective technical architecture for early-stage products

– Building scalable scrapers and async data pipelines

– Building startups whilst in education, balancing time, cost and effort.

– Growing a waitlist without paid ads.

What do you hope to get from being part of the Leicester Startups community?

I’d like to connect with other founders going through (or past) their early stage fundraising, and comparing notes on what’s actually worked, what hasn’t, and how people are thinking differently about raising capital. Not everything needs to turn into a warm intro, sometimes just hearing how someone approached a round or navigated investor conversations is more useful.

Many thanks, and I hope you find our startup interesting!
