The founder of a sustainable food startup in Leicestershire has received two awards from Loughborough University.
BeoBia founder Thomas Constant has been awarded ‘Outstanding effort to enterprise’ and ‘Highly commended: Graduate startup of the year.’
BeoBia produce home hardware products that encourage people to recycle their uneaten fruit and vegetables and turn it into pet food.
BeoBia opened its first investment round in April and founder Thomas Constant is still raising funds:
“Our aim is to become the leading global retailer of affordable and sustainable home-grown insect protein. We are looking for £150,000 seed investment for a 17% stake in our business, which will be turning over £1.9 million by 2025 and returning a 51% gross margin.
