Leicester founder appointed by Government to help scale small businesses

A Leicester entrepreneur has been appointed by the Government to its ‘Expert Advisory Council’, designed to help businesses grow.

Byron Dixon OBE, the founder and CEO of MicroFresh, was named one of the business leaders on the panel by Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng during Scaleup week in May.

Byron’s role will be to provide expert insight into the Government’s Help to Grow management scheme and ensure it meets the needs of small businesses.

The scheme is 90% government-funded and will launch at the end of June.
