Two startups on the most recent Leicester Startups Accelerator programme have been awarded £3k by the British Business Bank to help them get investment ready.

Craft startup Cotton Clara and salary sacrifice firm Salary Seed won the cash prize after their pitches during Demo Day in early April.

The two businesses were judged by a panel of investors and experienced entrepreneurs, which decided the £3k would make a difference in the startups prioritising investment opportunities.

The British Business Bank, which supported this years accelerator programme, is a government owned development bank dedicated to making helping smaller businesses access finance.
